What Is an Original Equipment Manufacturer, (OEM)?
OEM– An original equipment manufacturer (OEM) traditionally is defined as a company whose goods are used as components in the products of another company, which then sells the finished item to users. Simply put, if you purchase an OEM HP, Lexmark or any name brand that is what you are getting, an Original part.
OEM/Exchange– This means that you are purchasing an OEM item and are agreeing to return the old used part that is being replaced. We supply a prepaid UPS return label for you to use.
Aftermarket– You are purchasing a new unused part that was manufactured by a company other than the Original Equipment Manufacturer.
Re-manufactured- The rebuilding of a product to specifications of the original manufactured product using a combination of reused and new parts.
Re-man/Exchange– This is the same as Re-manufactured but you agree to return the used part that is being replaced at our expense using our prepaid UPS label.
